TMJ – holistic chiropractic treatment of the jaw joint
The jaw joint, or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is very complex from a neurological perspective. It has a huge number of connections to the brain, and when the TMJ malfunctions it can, by reflex action, influence many different parts of the body. Thus when treating TMJ one has to look at the rest of the body at times to solve the overall dysfunction. Through Applied Kinesiology we do an overall assessment of the body addressing various factors that tend to cause TMJ. These factors can range from the proper alignment of cranial bones to food allergies. Dr. Anderson has found through his clinical experience that no TMJ case is exactly the same. Everyone is unique in his or her case and needed to be treated accordingly.
